Don't Know What to Type?
Search Not Working?
- Search system
- A phrase that works in SpiderSearch often returns nothing in the Library or Periodicals.
- Game language
- Your game searches the wording of its own installed language, not the language you are reading here.
- Progress
- Some searches only open up later, and the tutorial keeps a few to itself.
- Publication
- A Periodicals phrase only returns a page inside the magazine it belongs to.
- Author and title
- The Library wants two boxes, and swapping them is the most common mistake.
How the Search Simulator Works
Each search system reads its own list of accepted wording. SpiderSearch takes one box, the Public Library takes an author and a title, and Periodicals takes a publication and a phrase.
Typing goes through the same clean-up the game applies: capital letters, spacing, punctuation and accents stop mattering, and each language has its own extra rules.
Your place in the story decides which searches exist yet. A phrase that is accepted later returns nothing early on, and the tutorial keeps a few searches to itself.

Search Simulator FAQ
Check five things in order: the search system you picked, the language your game is installed in, your progress, the publication in Periodicals, and whether the author and title went into the right boxes. Misspelling is usually the last of the reasons, not the first.
No. The simulator runs the game's own clean-up, so you can test the exact wording you used and see the result for yourself.
The Library matches an author and a title separately. Typing both into one box returns nothing, even when the words are right.
A periodical page sits inside one magazine, so the same phrase searched in a different publication returns nothing.
It uses the same three systems, with its own accepted wording and its own set of searches that only exist in that campaign.
Yes. The game ships its accepted wording for eight languages, and you can switch the game language here without changing the language of this page.
