In-Game Result
Jim Roottree seems to have left Butler County by the time Jim and Diamond gained notoriety. The only article you find is from 1979 and the article is titled "Former Butler County Resident Enters Disco Charts" The article came out right as Rollin' On Down To the City was hitting its peak popularity. There isn't much to the article other than what you already know, but it does mention that at the time, Jim and Diamond had a 2-year-old daughter they named Candy. The writer of the article did not seem thrilled to report this fact, and called the name "a bit too on the nose."
