Yes. The two charts count different people, so a number from one never matches the other.
First and last names are entered separately here, and more wrong names are offered to you than in the first investigation.
An unplaced relative is normally waiting on a portrait or on the second half of a name. The family tree shows which slot is still open.
They sit with Roottreemania rather than the Base Game, and each volume is a separate logic grid.
They are the closing deduction step. You stop searching for names and start choosing between the candidates the investigation left open.
Yes. Hint only, Guided and Full answers change how much a clue spells out, and the choice follows you between pages.
Looking for the first investigation?
The Base Game runs on its own chart and its own numbers. Nothing you learned from 3 → 9 → 18 → 33 → 49 is wasted, but the clues do not carry over.
